Sénescence cellulaire, cancer et vieillissement
Objectifs
Notre équipe s’intéresse (i) aux mécanismes régulant la sénescence cellulaire et (ii) aux rôles de ces mécanismes et de la sénescence dans la biologie du cancer et du vieillissement. Autour de ce thème général, nous développons plusieurs projets de recherche (voir publications de l’équipe) centrés sur des nouveaux mécanismes et acteurs de la sénescence identifiés par l’équipe.
P Bertolino et son groupe développent des projets de recherche autour du rôle des mécanismes associés à la sénescence cellulaire dans la biologie des tumeurs de l’hypophyse (Groupe Bertolino).
Notre travail devrait à long terme permettre de proposer de nouvelles stratégies pour lutter contre le cancer et/ou pour lutter contre d’autres pathologies associées au vieillissement.
