Welcome to CRCL’s International Page

The Cancer Research Center of Lyon (CRCL) is home to many international members who are happy to make CRCL their home-away from home.

On average, CRCL hosts over 40 different nationalities annually and welcomes students, post-doctorals, and researchers from all over Europe, the USA, Canada, China and Japan, to name a few. It is with great pleasure to have such diversity at CRCL, rich cultural back grounds and languages.

Our international members are very happy to work at CRCL and to embrace their lives in Lyon enjoying the French life.

Scientific Collaborations

We carry-out world-wide scientific collaborations ranging from the United States and Canada, China to Australia and Germany to England.  We have institutional agreements with Universities (University of Tokyo, University of Shanghai Jiao-Tong, University of Montreal, University of Melbourne, …) to facilitate either collaborations or student exchange at the Master 2 level.

International Life at CRCL in Lyon

CRCL international members, students, post-doctorals, and researchers take pleasure working in a French environment discovering the culture and participating in a new way of life.

For individuals who does not speak French and would like to do great oncology in France while learning the language, it is all absolutely possible. In conjunction with the Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, French courses are offer to those who would like to learn the beautiful language.

In addition, integration is made easier by the CRCL International Group (CIG) to help international members to meet one another at CRCL through different avenues of social events such as: pot-lucks, international breakfast welcomings, picnic luncheons, and meeting international speakers over coffee for career path discussions, and more.
