Because public research cannot be conducted without regards to current issues of our society, the CRCL and its members are committed to implementing social and environmental missions.

Eco responsible approach

In order to reduce the environmental impact of CRCL’s activities and to develop better practices within our laboratories, a working group called the CRCL Green Lab was created in 2020.

Its goal is to reduce energy consumption, CO2, and waste production and to promote greener practices within the laboratories, all without impacting the scientific excellence and innovation of the CRCL.

The Green Lab is composed of 3 groups: a waste group, an energy flow group and a communication group. Altogether, more than 30 members are actively involved in the Green Lab’s discussions and actions, which are relayed to the laboratories by referents.

Equality and equity initiative

Within the framework of a process launched by Inserm, the CRCL is a pilot research unit for the implementation of a Professional Equality Committee (CEP)

Composed of 6 members (3 women, 3 men) from different professions, the CEP’s mission is to propose concrete actions to improve gender equality within the CRCL, to follow the evolution of CRCL’s Genderscore, to actively participate in the dissemination of information, to support communication campaigns, and to maintain an up-to-date physical and web display.
