Immune profiling in patient blood
What do we do ?
In clinical trials, our group conducts longitudinal immune-monitoring studies on human blood to predict treatment response and investigate resistance mechanisms to guide the development of new immunotherapies.
Scientific lead
Uzma Hasan is a Principal Investigator at Inserm working at CIRI and the Centre Léon Bérard/CRCL in Lyon. She specializes in innate immunity, host–pathogen interactions, immune evasion, and tumor immunology, with a focus on virus-associated cancers. Trained in Immunology at King’s College London and St Bartholomew’s & Royal London, she completed postdoctoral work at Schering-Plough, IARC, and Yale. At CIRI, she investigates how HBV and other oncoviruses disrupt innate immune pathways, combining patient immunoprofiling, mechanistic studies, and CRISPR screens. At the Centre Léon Bérard, she contributes to LICL’s translational programs and to immumne profiling in blood patients operations. She has published 75 papers with ~3,700 citations.
