Three years after the last edition (October 2019) and a postponement due to Covid-19, the CRCL International Symposium was back, from November 2 to 4, at the Lyon Convention Center. The organizers, were pleased to welcome 650 participants including more than a hundred from abroad, recording the best attendance of the event and confirming its attractiveness.
Researchers, PhD students, industrials and oncologists were present to discover the latest advances in academic cancer research. During two and a half days, and on the occasion of 4 thematic sessions, they were able to attend 33 conferences from invited and abstract selected speakers (rediscover the program) among whom can be distinguished Scott Lowe (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, USA), Elaine Fuchs (The Rockefeller University, USA) and William G. Kaelin Nobel Prize of Medicine 2019 (Dana Farber / Harvard Cancer Center, USA).
The scientific exchanges were also conducted around the 186 posters that were displayed in the exhibition area where the thirty or so booths of the event’s sponsors were located.
The committee in charge of the organization draws a very positive assessment of this 5th edition, in particular with regard to the quality of the scientific exchanges, criteria plebiscited by the participants in the satisfaction survey. Indeed, 92.3% of them judged the quality of the exchanges to be “good or excellent”.
An excellent reason to continue the organization of this congress in two years.
